Being in the coffee business seems to require lots of extended travel and this I would say is one of the perks of the business. I was lucky enough to head to Seoul for a few days in April to check out the Korea Coffee scene and also to promote our Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. It was my first time in Korea and I wasn't sure what to expect but nothing could have prepared me for the sheer size of the event and the depth and size of the coffee industry in Korea.
The event was at the COEX exhibition hall in Gangnam district of Soul. This is a super modern complex in a very bustling area. As you can see from the photos below there were hundreds of exhibitors at the event.
I had an amazing time at the event and made some great new coffee friends. Apparently the show in November is even bigger and I can't wait to return.
Please enjoy the photos!
Extra special thanks to Rhiannon Shepard at COEX who turned out to be my English speaking saviour!
